That button shows/hides completed subtasks just like the one outside.

There are lots of new little buttons on the Mac app, but it's not clear what they do. For example, the 5 buttons in the bottom right corner of the left panel (where lists are displayed). Adding a tooltip on hover would make those buttons so much more clear.
