MacOS is a bit confusing when it comes to the completion date in the detail pane:
The second date is by a checkmark icon, but links to an "Alert" picker.
The calendar-check mark icon in the left corner gives the completion date picker (as one would expect):
I suggest for clarity,
- either change icon by second date to an alert
- or have that second date link to the completed date picker
