Do I need to buy iOS and Mac OS versions separately?

Hi there,
I'd like to try GoodTask. Why would I want to do this, when I already have (on my Mac and my iPhone and Apple Watch) Reminders, Things and Fantastical? For one simple reason: I would like a complication on my Watch face that can list more than one line. I'm not trying to cover my whole watch face with a long grocery list, but I'd like to see a bit more than one short line of text. Do people know what I mean?
If you do—two questions. One, do I have to buy GoodTask for my Mac and iPhone/Watch separately? (that's starting to get quite expensive). Two, will GoodTask's Watch complication list more than one line of text?

Hi @malch , thanks for the attention.

On iOS, you can download and use it for 14 days with full features. You may check if it suits your needs. There is a trial on our webpage for Mac version too.

Currently you need to get it separately on iOS and Mac App Stores.

GoodTask is a basic one-time purchase product and it's made separately for iOS and macOS. Making iOS and macOS app needs somewhat separate skills and the apps are pretty different as you see.

Things have changed during the years now that some apps share iOS and macOS components but GoodTask was made before the days. The app has been updated for many years without additional payments.

For services that charge you monthly could provide apps on different platforms at once but GoodTask is not going that path. I hope you understand.

There are various complications available for the watch. I recommend you to try it out to check if it suits your needs. You can adjust options in Settings > Apple Watch on iPhone app.

Thank you for your reply! Much appreciated. And I won't mind paying separately for a Mac and an iOS version... as long as GoodTask works for me. On that note—and yes, I will try out the demo as soon as I get a chance—can you tell me, right off the bat, whether the Apple Watch complication will show me more than one line of a GoodTask task list?

It depends on complication type. On modular large, you can choose from showing 3 items or one item.
