GoodTask 7.8.5 Update - Calendar View Improvements

New update is getting released. iOS version is getting released first. Others will follow soon too.

Calendar View Improvements

  • Calendar View Settings can be accessible through More button on top right (+ Settings > General > Calendar View)

  • Sort Options: Default / Follow List Settings
: Default shows All-Day Events first, Timed Events/Tasks, and No Time Tasks. (If Settings > Sort, Tags > No Time is First, No Time Tasks will show above timed events/tasks.)

  • Hide Undated Tasks with Completed Tasks
: When you tap Show/Hide Completed on top right, it’ll also show/hide undated tasks when this option is ‘On’. (Default: Off)

  • Appearance: Various options for All-Day Events, Timed Events, Tasks

  • Font Size

  • Maximum Number of Items Per Day: 5~10

  • Font size and Maximum Number of Items Per Day settings will not sync between devices.

Other Improvements

  • Widget: (Settings > Widget) - Open list option added
  • Dark/Tinted Icon adjusted for default Icon on iOS 18

& Other bug fixes

Excellent, love the improvements.

Quick question, I noticed that calendar events appear in alpha order, can they be made to appear in chronological order?

Thank you.

Currently if events have same date, sorting may follow the calendar order which can’t be customized at the moment. Timed events should be sorted by time.

More improvements on calendars and events will come on later updates. Thanks!

Appreciate the response but I am confused in that:

  • The calendar events appear in Calendar in chronological order.

  • The calendar events appear in Goodtask in alphabetical order which a) differs from than chronological order and b) differs from your above response.

Please assist / help me understand the difference.

Thank you.

PS/ Great news that more Calendar improvements are planned!

Would you share your screenshots to contact@hahaint.com ? Thanks!

Thanks for detail info. While sort option is not on 'Due date', calendar events remain separate regardless of option 'Settings > Sort, Tags > Separate Calendar Events'. In that case calendar events are not sorted chronological like you've mentioned. I'll take a look and will try to improve it on later updates. Thanks!
