Goodtask gets stuck on logo screen when starting and a suggestion for a view

Opening the app, doing a cold start or sometimes even returning back from recent apps, gets stuck on the app logo screen. Havent been able to reproduce it and determine exactly in what conditions it does happen, but it does. And it happens even when the battery saver mode is turned off.

Also a suggestion for a view, like daily planner apps, Or just in the now view, that shows the tasks in a rounded bar with clear separation from the other tasks. And can be dragged to exact times in the day, to the minute, making it easier for planning.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I have GoodTask 8.4.0, iOS 26.6.2, iPhone 15 plus, dont really know how i can find the task database. Happens both while using wifi and data, have noticed it happening since 2-3 goodtask updates.

Do let me know if theres anything else i can do.

Database was about iCloud or Exchange.

Would you try Settings - Advanced - Delete local cache files and restart the device and check?

Also do you change light/dark mode often which changes the theme of the app? App logo also appears when theme changes so I’d like to know if that could be a cause.

Also after this happens, how do you resolve the issue?

I use iCloud.

Nope, i dont change themes often, the issue happens most often after a cold start. So opening app for the first time, or just after clearing it from recents.

Cleared local cache and restarted the device ill let you know if it happens again.

Also whenever it happens all i can do is just get impatient and clear it from recents and open it again, which sometimes doesnt help unless i do it more than two or three times.

Alright i can confidently say now that its not happening anymore. Like it still takes some time on the logo screen but it loads up quickly, later as well
Thanks so much. I think it might have been the cache clearing that might have fixed it.

Also any thing about the view suggestion? Something that lets me drag tasks around in the now view , or a in the calendar view that shows the tasks and based on the duration of the tasks the task length is longer or shorter. Basically the agenda/calendar view in todoist but better
