GoodTask Not Responding on macOS 15.6 (24G84) — Infinite Loading Even After Reinstall & New User

Hello,

I'm experiencing a critical issue with GoodTask on my MacBook Pro (M4) since updating to macOS 15.6 (24G84). The app enters an infinite loading state immediately upon launch and becomes unresponsive (App Not Responding).

Here's what I’ve tried so far:

  • macOS Version: 15.6 (24G84)

  • Device: MacBook Pro with M4 chip

  • Issue: App hangs on launch with infinite loading

  • Safe Mode: Same issue occurs

  • macOS Reinstallation: Reinstalled the entire OS – same result

  • New User Account: Created a completely new user account on the same Mac – same issue occurs

Since the issue persists across a fresh user account, Safe Mode, and even a full OS reinstall, I suspect this may be a compatibility issue between GoodTask and the latest macOS 15.6 build on Apple Silicon (M4).

I'd appreciate your help with the following:

Is this a known issue with GoodTask on macOS 15.6?

Is there any possible workaround?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not experiencing any issues with the new OS. As sent on email feedback, try checking Calendars/Reminders app, restart the device and see how it goes.

You may re-install fully with removing preferences by following below steps.

  1. Close and un-install the app

  2. Delete preferences file

  • Open Finder

  • On top menu, choose 'Go > Go to folder..'

  • Copy below and move to the folder
    ~/Library/Containers/com.hahainteractive.GoodTask3Mac/Data/Library/Preferences

  • Delete com.hahainteractive.GoodTask3Mac.plist

  • On top menu, choose 'Go > Go to folder..'

  • Copy below and move to the folder
    ~/Library/Group Containers/

  • Delete U57829932E.group.hahainteractive.goodtask3

  1. Reboot the device
  2. Re-install the app

Hope it resolves the issue. Thanks!
