GoodTask v8.2.2 Release Note

GoodTask v8.2.2 is getting released. It may take some time for each platform and some regions. I hope you enjoy the update. Thanks!

Project View

  • Project View shows your tasks and calendar events in daily order.
  • Check the status at the top. You can tap it or swipe up and down to change it.
  • Start and end dates can be set from the three-dot button in the top-right corner on iOS, or from the View Bar button on Mac. By default, they are automatically calculated from the first and last task. Dates are saved separately for each list.
  • Calendar events are shown for 6 months from today.
  • Task display options can be changed in Project View Settings.
  • Tap the + button to add a new task for that day. Long press it to add tasks, calendar events, or templates.

Other Improvements

  • Matrix View: Quadrant colors can now be applied to the background, and a Clear Background option has been added.
  • Now View: Start Date is ignored when the Type: Date setting is not set to Advanced.
  • Various bug fixes and improvements.

I’m not quite sure I get the intended method of using project view. It’s definitely a welcome addition but I have a building project that I can’t quite make fit.

Hi,

On the Mac, when using the new Project View in light mode, the dates in the middle of the screen disappear whilst scrolling down, and when scrolling back up to the top of the list, the dates which were originally showing have also disappeared. I think it is because the text turns white and becomes invisible. Switching away from the view and back into it again make the dates reappear, only to disappear again.

In dark mode, everything works as expected.

I'm guessing this is a bug.

Regards

Andrew

Thanks for the feedback.

@Themikeyd , you can use it as you want but the key feature is setting start & end date to a list. During the process, you can plan and check how it's going day by day.

@ajph1970 , It's not reproducible on my side but I'll check and will fix it on next update.

Thanks!
