On receiving a notification of a due reminder you can tap on the banner and decide what to do: mark as completed, reschedule or open Quick actions.
As far as I remember before iOS 18 the action on the banner triggered the home screen widget to refresh. This doesn’t work anymore. The overdue reminder stays there until I open GoodTask or hit the little refresh circle (on the medium oder large widget).
Is the a chance to refresh the widget immediately again? Like in pre iOS 18 days?

Hi @Julius , thanks for the feedback. When you run actions on notifications, currently there is no way to refresh the widget directly on our side. Background app refresh needs to be ran to get it refreshed. I’ll check once again if it could be done. Thanks!

Background app refresh is on. On a pre iOS 17 device the behavior is as intended. Hopefully you find a solution to force the refresh on the widget.
