New tasks keep adding to wrong list

Been using GoodTask for a few days now, love it for the most part but have some real issues. One of the most prominent ones is that new tasks keep getting added to the first list under Settings > Lists, even though that list is unchecked, and even though the list I'm selecting when I enter the task is a different list. I always have to manually change the list after creating the task, and only that puts it on the list I want. Any fix for this? MacOS 8.4.8. Thanks!

Hi @rayner , thanks for using GoodTask. Would you try below?

  1. Update the app to the latest version
  2. Settings > Advanced > Delete local cache files

If the issue persists, please share some screen recordings or screenshots to contact@hahaint.com

Thanks!

So far deleting local cache files did the trick. I will update if I have further issues with this, thanks!

I need to follow up on this as the problem continues to occur. I've specifically tracked where it occurs versus where it doesn't. When you add a project to a list when you already have that reminder list selected, it seems to load correctly. Whenever you add a task from a non-reminder-list such as a smart list (e.g., Today), it will default to that unchecked list.

I will continue following up with other clues and details as I find them, but I'm finding that clearing cache does little, and it's not obvious to me quite yet how to update to the latest version (at least when on the trial). I will send some screenshots or recordings to the email specified when I have a chance.

Hi @rayner , thanks for the details. This should be resolved in latest version. If you're on trial, you can re-download it and overwrite or delete the previous version and use the new one. Thanks!
