Nobody noticed this about subtask?

Hello,
I have two tasks. Task 1 and task 2.

I want task1 to be the subtask of task2.

I drag task1 onto task2.

Task 1 shows as a subtask of task 2.

And also shows as a normal task.

So task 1 shows in two places.

And now I have to manually delete normal task 1 at the root.

Why would this happen? Is there some explanation around this?

Thank you for any assistance anyone can provide.

Hi @Dpaner, thanks for the feedback.

As shown on 'Settings - Sort - Drag and drop', task -> task to make a subtask and subtask -> tasks to make a task is done by copying rather than moving.

There could be various situations of using these actions. On some situations, it may be better to automatically delete the existing one. And on some situations, it could be better to keep the original task especially if there's more info on the task.

The app has chosen a safe route for now.

Thanks!

Wow, thanks for the rapid reply. While I prefer the move rather than copy, at least I know know that there’s an explanation!
