Hello.
I didn't find any quick action to quickly manually set the hour of the task. It can be either a text line or a clock selection. Can you please add it?
Thanks!
Hi @Photo_XX, thanks for using GoodTask.
Currently you can add Quick Action as 'Due date - Type: Time' and set time or use Prompt to have multiple times to select. Other than that, you can use 'Settings - New Task - Text Snippets' where you can use things like 8:00 or 8am or 8 or 8a to set due time as you type on title.
I'll keep your feedback on the list to consider. Thanks!
Thanks. I didn't know about new task snippets. Unfortunately I cant edit the task and apply snippets to existing tasks.
But my main goal is to quickly set hour to many tasks during a day. So having a manual textbox for time or applying something like 15:00 in title would be great.
OS: Mac
Did you ever figure out a way to quickly add a time?
I have the exact same problem:
- You can do it with snippets but only on new task, not existing ones – not sure why snippets don't work on existing tasks.
- With quick actions, you can set a specific preset time either automatically or prompting for pre-defined options.
- With quick actions, you can prompt for hours or minutes to offset the due time, but this is calculated from the current time. So 4 hours means 4 hours from right now and hence setting a task at 4pm next Saturday is doable but only with a calculator.
I haven't figured out how to select a task that's due next Saturday and be prompted to say set the time for 4pm.
Yes, you can do it through the details panel but it's clunky: open details, click on calendar, click on "No Time", input time in 2 different input boxes.
Help?
Thanks for the feedback. As you said, you need to have quick actions preset to add it quickly on existing tasks. Using action 'Due date: Type - Time' on 'Prompt: Select' would be a way to select time when needed.
I'll check if snippets can work on existing tasks on later updates.
Thanks!
