Smart list criteria `#` creates `#` tag

I want to have smart lists that can identify untagged and tagged (with anything) reminders. Since there is no criterion for "has tag" "has no tag", the only option seems to be to choose to include or exclude # (and/or @) to include or exclude all tags.

But when using automatic tagging, this criterion seems to create a # tag, which then shows up in other smart list headings like this:

Any workaround? I'm not sure what purpose is served by having the smart list criterion automatically generate a tag. If that has to be kept, perhaps there could be criteria for "has any tag" and "has no tag"?

Thanks @paulrudy for the feedback.

On next update, # alone will not be added on tags list. Also there will be 'No Tags' filter on smart list.

I'll do my best to bring the update soon. Thanks!
