Tasks with their due date but alarm time on calendar app

Hi there,

I am very happy with the GoodTask app, it improves the possibilities for todo lists excellently :+1:
That’s why I use it also for a lot of dates I want to order with tags (e. g. training, medical checkups etc.). And because reminders are also visible in the calendar app, this feature is perfect for me.

The only thing I regularly struggle with is that the tasks in the IOS calendar app are set to their alarm time, not their actual due time/date. So when I set the alarm an hour before the task starts to have enough time for the way to the appointment, it appears in the calendar app one hour too early. It already happened some times that I was too early because I didn’t notice the wrong time in the calendar app.

In Apple‘s native reminder app you can set the alarm to a relative time before and it shows up in the calendar app with the right due time, but in GoodTask the alarm time seems to be the decisive factor. Is there something in the settings that can be adjusted?

Thanks!

Hi @akel , thanks for the feedback.

I understand your needs.

I can't manage how Reminders data is shown on Calendars app. As you said, Calendars fetch and show main alert time rather than due date/time if both are set and different. Also they don't share multiple alert feature related data that they use so it's difficult to keep the data identical.

I recommend using GoodTask to manage calendars data too but if you need to use Calendars app, you need to match due date/alert time to make it show properly on Calendars app. I'll keep your feedback on the list to consider.

Thanks!

Thanks for answering. So I‘ll go ahead to only use GoodTask for all dates and widgets. Maybe I can get used to it :slightly_smiling_face:
