Version: GoodTask 8.3.8 (macOS)
On a Smart List with the Calendars filter empty ("no filter" — i.e. no rules added under Filters > Calendars), the list shows all calendar events regardless of date, instead of falling back to the global setting under Settings > General > Calendar Events > "Show Calendar Events on List View" (which is set to "Today" in my case).
Steps to reproduce:
Settings > General > Calendar Events > enable "Show Calendar Events on List View", set to "Today"
Create/edit a Smart List (e.g. "Today") with Lists filter = Scheduled Today OR Overdue, and Calendars filter left empty (no rules)
Open the list
Expected result: Only today's calendar events are shown, per the global setting.
Actual result: Dozens of calendar events from an unclear/unbounded date range are shown, as if no date filter applies at all.
Additional issue found while investigating: The only filter Type available under Filters > Calendars is "Text" (matches on event title). There is no date/"Scheduled"-type filter for Calendars, unlike the Lists filter tab which does offer "Scheduled: Today / Overdue". Adding a "Text: Include: Today" rule as a workaround does not work as a date filter — it matches literal event titles, so it hides all events that aren't literally titled "Today" instead of restricting by date.
So currently there is no way, either via the global setting (broken fallback) or via a per-list filter (wrong filter type available), to restrict a Smart List's calendar events to "today only" — even though this worked correctly before the update.
Also noticed regressed in the same list after the update (possibly related, possibly separate): Completed tasks are now shown in the Today list again, despite this having been switched off previously. Not yet confirmed whether this is the same root cause (settings reset/ignored during update) or a separate issue.
Happy to provide more screenshots/details if useful.
